FLAT FEES

WHEN DO THESE FEES APPLY?

– When the research undertaken has resulted in revealing rights to an heir (or beneficiary)

– When the investigations carried out have justified the inheritance rights of an heir.

HOW ARE THE FEES CALCULATED?

Fees are calculated as a percentage of the share reverting to the heir as provided in the contract for tracing succession or the contract evidencing rights. The proportional fee varies with the degree of kinship and the size of the share received.

CONTRACT FOR TRACING SUCCESSION

Since 1866, the French courts have validated the contract for tracing succession submitted to heirs by the probate genealogist

WHEN DO THESE FEES APPLY?

When the research undertaken has confirmed and validated the devolution of estate to the known heir(s); in order to guarantee the executing notary, the genealogist provides a certified family tree chart proving the devolution and for which he is then liable.

HOW ARE THE FEES CALCULATED?

In this case, a flat fee is paid for the service provided by the genealogist. It is set on the basis of the difficulty and extent of the investigations carried out. The value of the estate assets is taken into account.
