TRACING HEIRS
TRACING HEIRS

judicial trustee called on the Office to find the descendents of the owner of a large real-estate asset, a Spaniard who died in 1988 in Paris where he had taken refuge during the Spanish civil war.

Authorised to trace the heirs by his order of appointment, the trustee provided our Office with the little information he had, including the names of the people in the ownership in common.

We ascertained that each person in the initial ownership in common had died. So we then had to find their heirs. After more than two years’ of research, we managed to locate them. There were 47 in total, as a result of a spate of dozens of deaths.

The heirs, who were based in Spain, California, Porto Rico, Switzerland and South Africa, were all represented by our Office.
