Within the framework of French laws of 15 December 2005, (AGIRA I), 17 December 2007 (AGIRA II) and Eckert of 13 June 2014, an insurer initiated a call for tenders to trace the beneficiaries of unclaimed life-insurance contracts.

The Office submitted a bid and was selected. ADD & Associés takes care of locating beneficiaries whether they are named or whether they are entitled heirs.

This is the case of Mr B, who died in 1992 and left as his heirs his wife and three children.

Yet, a while before his marriage, Mr B had taken out a life insurance policy in favour of his partner Mrs Z, without changing the name of the beneficiary after he got married.

25 years after taking out his contract, ADD & Associés located Mrs Z and enabled her to benefit from the contract her former partner had taken out.

After updating its customer records, a bank realised that some of its bank account and/or safe holders were more than 110 years’ old….

It appointed ADD ■ Associés to:

• Check whether or not its oldest customers were still alive
• Provide their new contact details
• Find the heirs of any customers who had died.

This is the case of Bank A, based near the Italian border, which appointed ADD ■ Associés to find the heirs of holders of bank accounts opened a long time ago by their close or distant relatives.
